Shopping area with mostly Chinese establishments. Just from the outside you would think "nah, not going to happen." But, you will be surprised by the quality of sushi here. I'm a sushi purist and do not care for spicy this and spicy that with overstuffed rolls mostly popular in the US. I like pure and simple taste of good quality...

I was anticipating to eat here with my food buddy because we heard it got remodel and under new management. The decoration looks modern and slick. More spacious than the old place which give you more room to move around and sit.

We ordered :
-super chawan mushi = extremely salty as if they pour the whole bottle of soy sauce.

I can't believe how good my dinner was. They really meant it when they put up that 'under new management' banner on the front door. Even though they kept the name (which is rather odd), this Sushi Kai is a brand new restaurant. Everything from interior, the menu to the staff and the chefs are totally different.

Those who like the previous Sushi Kai might find the change too drastic. I suspect...
