Today, after 90 years, Boston Children's Museum exists to help children understand and enjoy the world in which they live. As an early museum experience for children, our environment is informal, but our purpose is serious. We want children to grow up feeling secure and self-confident with respect for others and the natural world. We encourage imagination, curiosity, questioning, and realism....
Shop Sur La Table for the finest cookware, dinnerware, cutlery, kitchen electrics, bakeware and more. Our cooking class program is one of the largest in the nation.
I was on a quest for a Capresso H2O Plus water-boiling kettle and everyone on the 'net was out of stock. On a recent trip to Seattle, I went into this Sur la Table store (had never been in one before) and they had about 8 of the kettles in stock. I made the purchase and had them ship it to my home. What a helpful staff and satisfactory shopping experience! And what a fun store. I just wish there was one nearer to my home.
As you approach this wonderful museum, look for the 40-foot-high red-and-white milk bottle out front -- and for children and their chronological-adult companions racing each other to the entrance. The under-11 set is the target audience for this delightful museum, but it appeals to the little kid in everyone.
Gourmet cooks should be sure to visit Pike Place Market's Sur La Table, where every imaginable kitchen utensil is available. There are a dozen different kinds of whisks, an equal number of muffin tins, and all manner of cake-decorating tools, tableware, napkins, cookbooks -- simply everything a cook could need. By the way, this is the original Sur La Table.
This is the best children museum that we had ever visit; it has lots of demo and shows and lots of activities that kids enjoy, even adults have lots of fun. I would certainly come back again, and I would recommend to any family, wealthy or poor. Every Friday 5pm to 9pm it has low $1 per person admission that is very affordable. Or you can join the membership that entitles you not only this...
The Children's Museum of Boston is a great place to take your kids when you are in the Boston area. They have all kinds of new exhibits which you as well as your kids will enjoy. A visit here is always interesting and I recommend coming here with the kids. The museum is easily accesible and makes for a great day of fun.
