City Code section 6-88-6 Any towing and storage firm engaged in the business of non-consent towing shall not charge the owner of any towed vehicle or personal property in excess of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) for the removal of a vehicle or personal property or in excess of thirty dollars ($30.00) per day for storage fees. The one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) shall be all inclusive; no additional fees may be charged for using dollies, trailers, lifts, slim jims or any other equipment or service. They do not follow this law. They charge whatever they want and claim the City of Memphis can do nothing about it.
