It's obvious they're getting rid of medicaid patients. Plain and simple. You don't get to have your own drug test done, it's your word against theirs and since they can't just boot you for being on medicaid, they do it with false urine screening. Odd, I know people who have insurance who get right in, but if you're on medicaid, no new patients. So, why do they want to keep the ones they got? They don't. This practice has been falling apart since they came to Stow; long time employees soon quit the new facility. New people have come and gone in short order; basically you can tell this is a bad place to work and be a patient. This guy screwed his own friend out of money and lost big time in a lawsuit in 2001; he's a sociopath. Don't feel bad if you get cut lose; I haven't lost any sleep. I knew who I was dealing with and it was just a matter of time; time to move on!
I am currently on Social Security disability for a spinal injury and was a recent patient at Summit Pain. If you are low income I would steer clear of these losers.
I was asked to provide a urine sample for routine drug screening, which I did. My name was not on the bottle, I received no anti-tamper strip to seal it nor a marker to initial the sample. It was then placed on a tray with several other samples. I thought this was very odd and a breach of procedure, but said nothing at the time. A few days later I received a letter stating I tested positive for cocaine and was discharged.
They refused to call me in for a re-test, which is standard procedure when a patient tests positive for drugs. I even offered to have a hair test. I have filed a formal complaint with the state medical board. I believe the test was deliberately falsified to remove me from the patient roster.
Additionally, I had moved my appointment up several days, to Monday, as I had a conflicting schedule. Who in their right mind would move their appointment knowing they could possibly be caught for substance abuse?
Several months before this incident, I had a blood test and hair test for unrelated issues at a local lab. No drugs were present in either screening. It's amazing how Summit Pain can get away with falsifying tests when evidence says otherwise.
After checking on the Internet it seems Medicaid/Medicare payments to doctors have been cut under ObamaCare. All over the country clinics such as Summit Pain are engineering ways to discharge low income patients.
Several weeks after my incident, a friend received a false positive urine test for marijuana. I have known her for 30 years and she NEVER smoked pot. More incompetence - or deliberate falsification - by the staff.

They're falsifying urine testing to get rid of patients. I knew when I got a call saying I had to see a nurse because my insurance didn't cover the other nurse I had an appointment with, I would be gone soon. I was right. Not only did they say I had a morphine test come back negative, (I had been taking it regularly), then came the test saying I hadn't been taking Percocet. They'll take new patients with insurance, but not any medicaid providers. This is WAY TOO MANY people saying the same thing for it not to be true. And of course they use reputation builder websites to bury the reports.
They treat patients and their family members like druggies, give you the runaround, give you misinformation, don't care if you don't have your medications or prescriptions, and don't make appointments for emergencies. It makes me wonder about what the problems the staff have there, and why they have such a poor attitude toward their "patients"--whom they treat like criminals, or at the very least, pains-in-the-butt.
