I only go to Subway if the other places around look too terrifying - they advertise fresh - but in my mind fresh is not pre-processed veggies shipped in plastic bags. The veggie pattie is overpriced and loaded with egg and previously frozen veggies - blah...
On the "positive" side, the are every where, somewhat consistent and have some vegetarian...

Many restaurants should take noted of Mashup. I highly
recommend you take the time to visit Mashup as you will become a regular.

Good comfort food in Rockford

Mashup Restaurant at Edgebrook Mall in Rockford serves classic comfort foods with their own twist.
I had the meatloaf, which was excellent; meaty, solid, not bready. My wife had the mac n cheese, which was also excellent.
Live music on a Weds night was a pleasant surprise, and the acoustic guitarist was very good (but I've forgotten his name )....

We had lunch at the Mashup and the food was excellent! Before we ordered the server brought Monkey Bread served with favored butter, cream cheese and orange favor, very good. I ordered the Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Omelette and my husband had a Turkey Burger on a Pretzel Bun. The omelette was huge served with hashbrown cooked in duck fat....

I love the flatbread omelettes made at the Subway at 290 Mulford. First they cook the egg or egg white and then put it on the flatbread with cheese and whatever vegetables you want and then cook the entire sandwich.
