Selected by several magazines as the best ice cream store in the area, Strachens makes great fudge and key lime pie. Don't come here for sherbert or no calorie ice cream. They want to make homemade great tasting ice cream so they offer only a few low calorie flavors.\r

The best news this location (one in Palm Harbor too) is in the middle of the downtown Dunedin action of green markets...

wonderful place to stop downtown Dunedin. Fun to stroll downtown then stop for ice cream. Really enjoyed our stop there.

We have been here many times and my rating is always the same.
The ice cream is very very. Good.
The prices are fair.
The service is good.
The location is excellent.
Tonight we had their Almond Joy. It was absolutely fantastic.
I highly recommend Strachans....

On a March Friday evening, if a crowd of people lined up inside to the door and another crowd by the walk-up window is any indication of the popularity of this place, then it must be a great place to get an ice cream. While waiting in line, I read the board with over 30 homemade ice creams in flavors...

Ice cream served every which way. Great place to end the evening with a bowl or cone of your favorite delight. Long lines move along quickly. High quality ice cream. Worth the weight, I mean wait.

People drool over this place

When someone walks out of there with a cone for example, anyone who sees that person will start drooling and also ask where they got the ice cream and run straight for this place. I recommend it to everyone that visits me. I've had Germans, New Yorkers, Jersey folks and the list goes on and on ask where to go...
