One of the largest resort hotels in the world, Excalibur (also known as the Realm) is a gleaming white, turreted castle complete with moat, drawbridge, battlements, and lofty towers. And it's huger than huge. To heck with quiet good taste; kitsch is cool. And it's becoming harder and harder to find in a town that once wore tacky proudly. If your soul is secretly thrilled by overblown fantasy...
As you might expect, the Excalibur casino is replete with suits of armor, stained-glass panels, knights, dragons, and velvet-and-satin heraldic banners, with gaming action taking place beneath vast iron-and-gold chandeliers fit for a medieval castle fortress. This all makes it fine for kitsch seekers, but anyone who hates crowds or is sensitive to noise will hate it. The overall effect is less...
Lots of games and live tables.\n\nThe buffet was terrible. Cold, old and sad food. Also, no mini fridge, bottled water or complimentary coffee in the rooms. Seems pretty standard even when I stay at a very cheap motel.
Convinent location.\n\nVery noisy. Safe did not work in the room and was not repaired when reported. Lights kept going out in the bathroom. Long wait to check in.
Nice room with an amazing room...\n\nNo
This hotel is in a great location. It's easy to get to, easy to walk from, fairly central location.\n\nI understand the resort fee and the new $---a day parking fee (which were nearly double the actual room rate). What I don't understand is a 3 star hotel with resort fee that doesn't have coffee makers in the room! This was surprising and crazy to me.
