With a name like Stampede, one would invision a rawhide, leathery cowboy atmosphere. Not unlike the Bars and Nightclubs Ft Worth is famous for(only gay). This would have been a great strategy for re-vamping the old Corral bar. But, no. I think this place was re-opened about 2 years ago, as it was the Corral before that. Major changes included ripping out the old/nasty carpet, a paint job, and concrete floors. Drag shows all the time draw in the crowds, and I think all the poeple there smoke - heavily! The back bar is a place to get away from the show, and they have a nice outdoor patio to sit for a spell too. Not for the... more

With a name like Stampede, one would expect a leather cowboy type bar. We found a "neighborhood" bar with a tired crowd, heavy smoke in the air and chep drinks. Drag shows are the entertainment every Friday and Saturday night
