Stameys is a staple in Greensboro. They have been around forever and anytime friends are in town visiting us they always request a trip to Stameys. The food is great and the atmosphere is laid back and fun for the family. You can't go wrong with Stameys.

I'm a huge fan of BBQ, but I find Stamey's food to be on a the bland side. The Brunswick stew is lacking flavor, the BBQ as well. The cobbler is good, although I'm not a huge fan of the preserve mixture. The cost to eat here is good, and you get a decent amount of food, but it's not my style of southern food

I know everyone goes for bbq but you really need to try the chicken! It is made with a different sauce than the bbq pork and is very tasty, the portions LARGE. Of course it comes with a traditional side of Hush Puppies & Slaw. And if you didn't know, Stamey's has some of the best sweet tea in GSO
