For a museum of history, there is little about St. Petersburg, a city that goes back to 1880. One small room has interesting artifacts and pictures, but there should be much more about this great city. Too much space taken up with diving and pirates, even mummies. I been in a lot of museums and it is by no means the worst, but it could use some more thought...
This museum seemed to be a little sparse. They may have been transitioning between displays. Centrally located and admission is free, they do ask doe donations.
I was a little reluctant after reading some reviews of this museum that there might not be much to see here. I found this place very interesting and educational. There is a lot about the history of St. Petersburg and a lot of the culture here. All in all we found it a worthwhile experience.
