This Episcopal Chapel, located in what is now the bustling financial district, was dedicated in 1766 and is the oldest remaining church in Manhattan. Rich in history, George Washington worshiped here on his inauguration day, and his personal pew is still on display. Services are held regularly, along with noonday concerts.

lots of history, very sad walking around thinking about 9/11. Amazing that this stayed standing after 9/11, being as close as it is to WTC site. Just look around and take in all the history.

A beautiful little find in the heart of the financial district! This is a pre-revolutionary church that somehow survived the 9/11 attacks (it's a block from Ground Zero.) This place is very beautiful !it's worth visiting if you are in the area. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was open to the public. Very peaceful and spiritual place, wonderful architecture.
