From the moment I checked in I knew I had made a mistake. First time to Memphis and the personnel were less than helpful. The place is (was) under construction and I was given directions to my room - take this elevator, go right on the third floor pass the third ice machine and then take the next elevator to the 5th floor - I couldn't find the 'other' elevator. Anyway - the room looked nice...

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend. We were in town for the BBQ championship. I choose to stay here for the proximity to the tourist stuff. It is well within walking distance to Tom Lee Park, Beale Street, Civil Rights Museum, etc. They only things we drove to during our stay were Graceland and Sun Studios....

I thought this would be a great place seeing as it is a Mariott chain hotel. The service at the front desk was unpleasant. I stood there for 5 minutes while the person behind the desk looked at some paperwork and she knew I was standing there! The sheets on my bed were dirty! (hair, some sort of debris near...
