spats has the pub foods you'd expect, plus a few nice extras. The staff is always friendly. Outdoor seating available. Located on a side street off Thayer, so if you find a parking spot on the street, you are right there where the action is if you feel like walking off your dinner.

We stopped in to catch a baseball game on their many TV's. Had some appetizers and the food was really good. Wait staff were very friendly and fun. Drinks were reasonable and they had so many beer choices. Word is that the ownership is changing and that it will be closing for renovations. I hope the new owners don't change...

Our server was great.I took my family of 4.We all enjoyed.I am surprised a lot of people were not there.Food was delicious and well presented.

The location now home to Paragon and Viva was the site of the original Spats Restaurant & Pub. This historic eastside restaurant and traditional pub was home to students, families and friends. Andy and Solan Mitrellis created a relaxed and friendly ambience of good food, drink and a "great night out". It was not uncommon to see the Providence singers or the Cabot Street Theater actors unwinding...
