I visited this brewpub on a recent trip to the area on business. For a Monday night, there was a respectable crowd. There is plenty of nearby parking in lots and garages, although I found a close spot on a side street.
The place is cozy, and I sat at the bar. There were friendly regulars and prompt, friendly service. The scotch ale was solid, and the IPA was nice. The coconut stout was okay....
Built in an old building, this is a cozy bar with a stainless steel bar and cozy booth and table seating right downtown. Good selection and friendly staff.
Not a lot of street parking adjacent to the brewpub building but there is a parking ramp a block away and additional street parking once you get more than a block away. GRBP. Excellent beer and food in downtown Rochester. The coconut stout, Scottish ale on cask and Nelson IPA are unrivaled. Favorite dishes so far are the beef and bird and original Ruben sandwich. Outdoor seating and great service were a plus. Growlers on Sunday and brunch.

One of the favorites in the neighborhood, Sontes is one great to be at. The ambiance is upscale, comfortable and elegant, perfect for fine dining.
