This place lacks of hygiene, and has mostly drugs addicts for residents. You smell marijuana in every corners.
Besides, on the first floor it's drug addicts and alcoholics party time at night, you can't get out of your room to go the bathroom without running into them. They screem, and scare you of.
On the second floor, musicians play all day long, their is no noise restriction and the management don't care about your complains.
Although, this place is cheap, and if you just crash in for nights you can probably avoid the night disturbance living on the second floor.
Pretty women are often harrassed by perverts so be aware that a lot of lonely men stay there and may seem friendly but are not very well in their heads. The management will not help you.
Concerning the management, they won't answer your request until the last minute of your stay. They make you wait and wait as long as they can. So you have to insist or to get mad to obtain what is in your right to ask in the first place. They are neglecting about hygiene or give you broken furniture. You will need to clean your room when you arrive and probably the sheets too.
They also "clean" very early morning, and vacuum late at night. Your complains will not change anything.
The bathroom, toilet, kitchen and living room are shared spaces. They are not clean, I recommand wearing shoes even in the showers. The toilet paper is rarely refilled and toilets are broken every weeks.
The wifi is not functioning very well in the rooms, you have to stay in the living room to do your work but there are always drug addicts you can run into. That is extremely inconvenient and sometimes, the wifi doesn't work at all. If you need wifi, DO NOT choose this place!
Little Tokyo area is quit safe though, again if you are not often indoors and don't mind noise at night, this place is a good compromise because their is everything you need around including transportation.
So it is up to you! For one night you should be fine, but stay longer and you may not appreciate what you will find.

The people living there are an interesting assortment. Residence ther is safe and also very quiet. The manager is very helpful and personable.
Access to kitchen and to comfortable lobby/salon are included in monthly rent.
