They have such good bar food, I've gone there even without drinking a drink (I know, right?). But first and foremost, the Slow Bar is a hip bar, with giant booths, brick walls and frosted glass windows. It can get crazy some nights, and packed in beyond the seating, but damn good cocktails and one of the best burgers in town keeps people coming back.

The old Caswell's, transformed by Vic's former tenders, this raucous, stylish party-people clubhouse has been bar of the moment for years now. Adjoining My Father's Place in the heart of industrial southeast but just moments from downtown, with serious bar cuisine and wine list as well-selected as the punk-fueled juke, a steady stream of Portland's most beautiful trickle through the narrow... more

Bartender’s choice: Cocktails garnished and mixed with blood oranges (when in season); try a Campari and soda ($5.50) with a squeeze of that wicked little fruit. With red vinyl booths, a slick-but-not-too-slick bar setup, flat-screen TVs and a punk-centric juke, Slow Bar is pretty much the embodiment of what you wished you were like in high school—and the cool kids (read: bartenders) are... more

The food is like typical barfood taken to the next level. Instead of chicken strips, they offer tastefully fried chicken with honey butter. A better burger than many burger joints. I've yet to go when the place is really busy, and it seems to be half bar / half restaurant, but not quite either.
A good place to stop by if your in the neighborhood.

Orgasmic. Mouth Watering. Everything that you would expect in a perfect burger, you can find at Slow Bar. Stick with the regular burger and you will be left satisfied.

Stiff drinks, a@s kicking hard rock juke box in a strangely posh setting. Including high backed booths, flat screens playing tennis matches and mirrored back lit bar. Oh... and really, really good food. The summer burger is by far one of the best in town.
