One of the quirks of the Birmingham Public Library system is that you may check out up to 99 items at a time.
The library is very large and nicely equipped. They carry a lot of newer titles, including political items from both sides. Their AV section a little lacking compared to other libraries of this size, but it is still a very nice facility.

The Birmingham Public library is a really nice facility. They have thousands and thousands of books to choose from. Whatever you are looking for they are sure to have it and if they don't the librarian is more than willing to help find it. They have internet access also.

The Birmingham Public Libraries are fairly easy to deal with. One of the biggest problems that I have with them is that even though my husband works in and pays taxes in Birmingham, since we live outside the county, they charge us to use the library's services.
