Help us make it rightSip Stir is a perfect study spot, they have couple of tables and outlet where I can plug my laptop. Tried couple of stuff here including the tropical green tea. They always have a nice variety of baked goods that could fill my tummy. Not so friendly staff though.
Love the s'mores latte, I can really taste the chocolate-marshmallows-graham cracker combo. But I do think it's a bit overpriced (more than 5 dollars a cup). Loved that they offer dairy alternative though!
As a hard core Starbucks espresso fan, trying new coffee joints is risky for me. On a whim and liking to support local businesses I gave Sip Stir a shot (pun intended). I was pleasantly surprised. The espresso was nicely done, which means good coffee, some skill and a well maintained machine. Great to go. I would score higher, but the atmosphere is a bit lacking IMO.
Sip Stir is a hidden gem in the West Village area. A lot of people, even WV regulars, don't know it's there - which is a total shame because it's seriously great. Highly recommend the any of the frosts (especially vanilla) as well as their cold brew. They carry almond milk too, which is super convenient. Not the coziest atmosphere or super quick service, but plenty of seating and a great place...
I think this place is more about tea than coffee. I tried a tropical green tea that ended up making my feel kinda sick. I'm not sure if was the tea or not but I had so much trouble getting their wifi to work that I bailed and went to Starbucks. It would have been a great to be able to get some work done at a place that wasn't a huge conglomerate but if the tech isn't reliable, I won't be back.
Try the TEAS! They have a variety of exquisitely flavored teas, so try them! This cute cafe can be the setting of meet ups during the week - that is how I first discovered them. The employees were very kind and helpful. The modern interior design is invigorating. It would be a great place to make your office for the day if you work from home.
