I remember going to the beach in the morning in the north of Bali and buying nasi bungkus for 500 rupiah from a woman sitting at a wooden table. Nasi bungkus is rice, vegetables, egg, spices, meat wrapped snugly in a banana leaf.

Being half Asian and a passionate cook I love this place.
A lot of grocery shopping will take place at Simpang Asia after which I sit down and indulge myself in one of their tasty platters or little snacks.

Staff is friendly and helpful.

In fact: this little shop has great food, better than the Indonesian restaurant on the opposite of the street Indo Cafe.
