Silver Spoon

This may have been good one time, but not any more

I went to this restaurant with my fiancée recently, and the service was absolutely horrible. The waiters and waitresses didn't care for anyone. The service took forever and nothing in the orders was correct - not even the simplest of details. That's not even mentioning the fact that it took them over an hour to bring our food, with only about 5 or 6 tables being served at the same time. Don't even get me started on the attitude!

Complaints to the manager and hostess got nowhere - their attitude was basically "If you don't like it, get it out and don't come back."

This used to be a great local restaurant to go to with great wait staff and a homey atmosphere. I don't know what happened after their renovation, but they definitely lost something in the translation. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, anywhere else, besides here.

I love the "Spoon." When Schwab's closed, all the actors moved down to Theodore's cafe (now named Silver Spoon). You can always see some face you recognize. The food is diner fare and the place is owned by a Greek family. They have a separate full bar and outside patio seating. Make sure you ask for Gloria as your waitress...she is a hoot and always has a funny joke or story to relate. Nice... more

great value comfort food. 10dollars for an omlette so big that after you've had enough you can take it home and finish it for dinner. great food at a great price. can't wait to go again. try the mediterranean omlette, it's heaven!
