Business Description from the Web
Hosted by a few of Honolulu's best chefs, this restaurant opens only after these chefs' own kitchens shut for the day. Because Side Street Inn is located on the busy industrial side of town, it's a bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Contrary to what you would expect the food is delicious and they serve big portions, although it's high in calories, the people love it and that's why its...

Editorial Reviews from the web
In Short Chefs from some of Honolulu's top restaurants join locals at the bar and in the booths of this down-and-dirty spot on a side street near Ala Moana Center. Tucked away in an alley is the legendary Side Street Inn. It is family style dining where you order a la carte and share. I would recommend the fried rice, pork chops, korean bbq, and sauteed mushrooms.
It's some good eating here.
Pros
+ Fried food and sodium in large quantities and fried rice
Cons
- Hypertension and high cholesterol

YOU MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER. At least give them a day's notice. You might not be able to get in on the day of (I know because my friend couldn't get us in). Otherwise, you WILL be waiting at the bar until a table opens. The food is worth the wait. Hot, flavorful, with very generous portions. All the smells and textures of local kine cooking. The only thing that was lacking was...
