BUYER BEWARE!! WATCHOUT!!! DON'T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR GUNS!! Here's my one and only contact with Shooters. What a horror story. I went in wanting to get my Belgium Browning A5 reblued. I was told they use the best guy they know, he was down south somewhere. They had used him for years and stood behind his reputation. When I asked how they safely shipped the guns that far, they asked for the original Browning shotgun box to insure a safe journey. This box was like new, pristine! The original Belgium packaging box. Black with Gold lettering and matching serial numbers. Well, I trusted them and what a huge mistake!! It took almost a year to get my gun back and I had to buy another shotgun for the upcoming bird season. Because of an ATF or FBI raid, all the guns had been seized. The business was locked up. Nothing was going in and nothing coming out. After 4 months of jerking me around, they finally told me the truth and explained to me that there was a possibility that my gun may never be returned. Almost a year later I got the gun. Besides an inferior reblue job, they handed my gun back to me in a sock. I asked where the original box was and was told "Just be happy we got your gun back" That box was pristine, not a single scratch or flaw and worth a lot more than my total labor bill. I never was compensated for the box, they billed me for the full amount of the reblue work and then basicly kicked me out when I started to complain. He actually got very angry at me and told me to never return to his store. Is this the way an honest man conducts business? They are crooks working with crooks!! So in the end, I got my shotgun back after about a year with a terrible reblue job, lost my original Belgium Box with matching serial numbers, had to buy a new gun to hunt that year and finally, I was kicked out of the store for complaining about it. WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS!! (Edited February 19, 2012)
George, just wanted to say I know how it is to deal with incompetent people. How do these guys stay in business. The Browning box you desrcibed is worth about $200.00 on ebay. Did you ever get any compensation for it? People who don't stand behind their work are useless in the business world. This should be a warning to would be customers!!
I was a longtime customer of The Shooter Sport Center in Racine Wi. I bought many guns and archery equipment from them and I recieved nothing but the best of service. Weather buying a firearm or a new bow there staff was very knowledgeable and couteous. I would buy from them in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work guys!!!!

Always a helpful bunch of guys and gals behind the counter. Really enjoy the upgrades to the pistol range! Good hours and plenty of inventory for a small operation.
I've yet to have a bad experience here! Everyone has always been respectful and so very helpful, especially with any questions or concerns! Today was my CCW Class/Firearms Safety Course and it was more than worth it! A HUGE Thank You to Bob, Chris and even Sam for all of the great information, demonstrations, and open learning environment! Every penny I spend here is always money well spent!...
