I think a lot depends on how much one pays for one's room. The people complaining may have paid $189/night. I paid $50/night on priceline.com, and loved the place. Our room was large. The Sheraton Birmingham was the site of the first annual OmegaCon Science Fiction convention. Several hundred people stayed at the hotel and several hundred more attended on day passes, so the hotel was completely full in the convention area. As far as the residential part was concerned, the hotel room was in excellent condition. Everything worked as it was supposed...
