Business Description from the Web
Scotty's offers a dining area overlooking the Dinner Key to enjoy delicious and casual fare. If spicy and bold seafood is you taste, Scotty's will not disappoint.
Arriving for your meal by boat only enhances the experience -- an option at Scotty's, where humble plastic tables await, shaded from the sun by an awning. As you drink deeply an ice-cold beer (or, if you're working, an ice-cold tea), you can watch the boats chug past the outdoor patio. The seafood-slanted fare is simple but includes a tasty seafood chowder and a juicy and flavorful blackened...

This Coconut Grove hideaway isn't the easiest thing to find, but it is the easiest place to unexpectedly love. Scotty's Landing is the only non-commercial establishment in an area dotted with Gaps, Starbucks, and Old Navys. I have been to Scottys 10 times.. I havent been there in 3 years and I invited a friend.. what a wonderful breezy view on a hot day.. you can sit there all day and drink if you wish..
The food and service was a disaster.. the shrimp appetizer was forgotten when ordered.. and then we it arrived it looked like two week old bait.. and the cocktail sauce literally had sat out for two weeks too.....

For starters, "stone crabs" are ONLY the claws of the crab. It is illegal to catch a whole stone crab let alone serve it. Only the claws are harvested. Secondly, stone crabs are ALWAYS served cold. They are steamed immediately after being harvested and then chilled. I LOVE Scotty's but to each his own. Maybe if you knew what you were ordering you'd have been less disappointed.

First of all, it took us almost an hour to find because of where it is; I went to this place with a friend who wanted to take me out for my birthday... to go to this place was the worst idea ever. It took 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table and once they came back with our drinks, they tasted like sea water. Once our meals came out my so called ?stone crabs? (stone claws) were very cold;...
