Steve Schroeder was our agent for several years. He was always very helpful and responsive - taking our money.
However, the one and only time we needed his help for a claim on our personal residence (and it was a small one), he not only was not helpful, his behavior was downright unethical. He said of course he would help us and it would be covered but then all the sudden did a 180. He did have the self awareness to be embarrassed by how he treated us, but it didn't change that he threw us under the bus, so to speak.
In the end, it was a cheap lesson for us and came at the right time....
