German favorites and American fare in a dining room forgotten by time.

The food wasn't all that impressive - it was ok maybe I just wasn't
in the mood.

Only a german look. Nothing german about the menu.

GERMAN?? WHERE??

Other than the appearance of the restaurant on the outside this place has very little to no german food items. I was extremely disappointed with this place. The menu items are very average and overpriced for what you get. My family is from Germany and expect good german food. If you like average overpriced American food then this is your place.

Pros

+ Clean

Cons

- Long Wait, Over Priced, Nothing Ethnic

The Scene
Handsome Teutonic antiques greet you in the foyer and the waiter's stand is massive and impressive. But the dining rooms are rather tired and worn and lack the initial charm of the place. I took my brother and his roommate (who is from Germany) to this restaurant expecting it to actually serve German food. And no, having 3 dishes containing bratwurst and knockwurst do not make a restaurant German. I was expecting schnitzel and sauerbraten, but instead they have steak salad and hamburgers. Don't go here in search of German food, you'll be greatly disappointed.

Cons

- Not German, Long Wait, Expensive

Really three restaurants in one, this establishment offers dining alfresco in the Biergarten with an open deck, traditional Bavarian dining in the main dining room of the Bierkeller and casual Kaffee Haus dining with tables for four and leather-backed chairs. Breakfast Too

The Kaffee Haus, situated at the back, is a good bet for bacon and eggs.

Up on the Roof

On warm summer evenings, the party on the roof is the place to be.
