Ate here for dinner with co-workers and it was a nice darkened restaurant. Steak was juicy and tender - and from well taken care of cows.
my first time spending $40+ on a steak, but i have to say for a special occasion it was money well spent. the food was great. my seafood bisque and my bone-in ribeye were outstanding!
The intimate atmosphere framed with dark woods and inviting patterns have your eyes preparing your stomach for a great meal. I enjoy Schlesinger’s even for a light dinner of a salad and an appetizer – they always make me feel special. The servers carry flashlights and ensure that the steak they just delivered is done to your liking. The bread with the whipped sugar butter is wonderful. The Steak Schlesinger’s is a wonderful treat but trying to find sides to go with any of the dishes is a chore – they are all so well done. Their Sunday Brunch is pricey but the elegance of the food, the presentation and the live music make it well worth the price.
Went to this restaurant to entertain an important customer of mine. Service and the atmosphere was great. After hearing so much about their steaks all us decided to order a filet. Two out of the three steaks were well overcooked. I'm usually not one to complain, but for the money the price of the meal far out weighed the cost. I don't plan on returning back to the restaurant. Instead to a local Outback steak house, where the meal is a fraction of the cost and to my liking.
I love love love this restaruant. !!!! I always get the Filet Au Poivre. It reminds me of the 9 Pepper Filet I used to get at Steak and Ale.
The food was excellent — what there was of it !!! I was still hungry after a bill of $80. for 2 people & we even drank water!!! and no dessert. Next time I will go for lunch! I got a small steak which was excellent, mashed potatos (small helping) & a small salad. I could have eaten 3 times a much as I was served.
Nestled in Port Warwick, Schlesinger's Chop House is a tribute to the Pulitzer Prize winner Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. This restaurant is popular among locals for their tantalizing fares of steaks, ribs, chops and seafood preparations. Visit this place on a Sunday to enjoy their brunch buffet to gorge on ribs, salmon, roasted turkey, gratin, bacon, stuffed oyster and end it with a sinful pie...
Schlesinger's Chop House is a Steakhouse, Seafood, and American restaurant where most Menuism users came for fun with friends, paid between $25 and $50, and tipped more than 18%.
