This is a great place to donate unneeded items and to find good deals on furniture, household goods, or a new wardrobe. I have found Burberry, Gramicci, Royal Robbins, Nieman-Marcus, and other top labels on the menswear racks at the Alameda and Oakland SA stores. Reuse is better than recycling!

This salvation army is HUGE. They have a parking lot, books, furniture, some building supplies, large appliances, shoes, bicycles, clothes, kitchen accessories and more!

They seem to always have at least one roll-top desk.

Also, they have frequent 50% off sales. A great place if you love 2nd hand stuff!

Located on the north end of Park Street between Blanding Avenue and Clement Avenue, this large, warehouse-style thrift store sells clothing, furniture, home wares, bicycles and more. The Alameda store has frequent 50 percent off sales; donations are taken on-site. The Alameda Salvation Army store is closed on Sundays.
