I discourage anyone from supporting ruthie’s bbq in montclair - the owner and staff are not customer focused - there is zero accountability and zero customer service!

I will say the food is fun and a good value and the music is outstanding, but service (kitchen and table) is not only poor, but they are combative.

Avoid ruthie”s at all cost! – do not go! If you do, you are encouraging a sense of entitlement and the end of customer service and accountability!\r

This is a favorite local place for me. I'm a very big fan of the brisket and the fries. The pizza is also very good - fine ingredients treated very well. You order at the counter and are given a number for your vintage 1950's Formica kitchen table. The kitchen delivers. Not a favorite.......wait staff was scary, was told the MAC n cheese was great.....it was NOT. However their Texas pizza was pretty awesome, I may just go back again for just that. Did not try famous ribs yet either.
