The Russian Center of San Francisco was founded in 1939 by Russian immigrants as a focal point for the preservation of their rich cultural heritage. Tradition was passionately kept alive through operas, operettas, choirs, grand balls, folk dance ensembles and plays. Generation followed generation, and still the goal remains to preserve and display the warmth and spirit of the Russian culture.

My Ukranian girfriend had a wedding at the Russian Center Of S F. I have never heard of his place but I loved it once I saw it. It was perfect for a wedding. My friend was so pretty in her white gown walking down the isle at the Russian Center - and it ws perfect for her. The party was wonderful - very fun, energetic and the food tated spectaculair!!!!

Our daughter attends a Russian school and they often perfom at the Russian Festivals around the Bay Area and they performed at this venue also. It's a fun and interesting place to visit. Ethnically we aren't Russian and it was just by chance our daughter begun attending a Russian school 3 years ago. Now though she speaks fluent Russian and it is such a joy to see her perform with all the other... more
