I went into RunTex today and was not acknowledged by anyone there. There only appeared to be a small selection of shoes on a wall. There was a lot of other merchandise, but very few actual shoes.

We too were disappointed with the service at the Gateway store. My wife had heard they were a great place to go for people new to running and jogging. When we arrived, the salesperson, while very knowledgeable about feet and shoes, seemed disinterested in helping her. This is the largest of the Run Tex stores in Austin and it still out of stock on a very regular basis of the most common sizes of shoes like Asics, Adidas, and New Balance, to name a few. If you want a specific shoe, don't count on finding it here.
