Rumba Cubana

"Like being on a cruise ship in the Caribbean", this "crowded, fun and inexpensive" Cuban trio in North Bergen and JC serves up "excelente comida", "delish" sangria and "terrific" mojitos and margaritas in a "warm, family atmosphere"; service is "good" (speaking Spanish enhances the experience), and the brightly colored decor lends a tropical feel – it's "a great find."

Went yesterday and the food was delicious. Had the grilled chicken and onions dish with tostones and the empanada trio appetizer. Guava and cheese empanadas were my favorite. Service was good, food was good, view of nyc skyline was excellent.

Excellent food. Love the Churrasco and Mofongo!! The coffee is delicious and so are the desserts specially the "tree leches ". And you can acompany your food with a good wine or a Mojito.

What a wonderful restaurant with a service staff that is always there to get whatever you need. I had the crabmeat with a creole sauce that was simply wonderful. Four of my friends had the whole red snapper fried which was done perfectly. The paella was excellent.
We also had the calamari which was crispy and tender inside. The ceviche...

Amazing views of new york city and all glass walls and ceilings make this restaurant a very good place to take someone on a date or for a drink at their very beautiful bar.
Highly recommended specially because of their cheap prices and generous portions.
Whenever in the area, stop in at Rumba Cubana!

The name cuba comes from the taino language and though the exact meaning is unclear it may be translated either as where fretile land is abundant (cubao) or as great place (coabana) additionally there is the claim that native inhabitants called the island "cubagua" in the columbus era staring in 1542.
