Rudder Jessup Bed & Breakfast-College Station, TX
We are conveniently located just across from Texas A&M University, in the Southside Historic District. General Earl Rudder, the 16th president of Texas A&M, and his family lived in the home after a fire destroyed the President’s Home on campus. Built in 1936, it has had 3 owners before the Jessup's purchased the home. In 2000 the home was remodeled in keeping with the home's history and with your comfort in mind. Enjoy antiques throughout and relax in the lovingly restored home. Four luxurious guest rooms with plush king or queen-size beds with private bath can accommodate up to 11 guests. Each room is equipped with cable TV/DVD, free wireless Internet and heated floors in some of the bathrooms. Parking is not a problem even on Aggie Football game days. Relax in the garden veranda and enjoy watching the birds feeding, listen to the bubbling fountain and stroll through the organic herb garden. You may want to use the cozy business center surrounded by hundreds of antique books. Take a morning walk through the tree-shaded neighborhood and enjoy seeing the historical homes along your way. Because of its significance the Rudder Jessup home was awarded a historical marker by the city of College Station. Early coffee is followed by a full gourmet breakfast. We are available for small gatherings, business meetings and retreats. Rated by Trip Adviser and B&B.com as the #1 B&B in College Station
