is full of out-of-towners and douchebags meaning that San Franciscans avoid it like the plague. I only go if attending an event.
Downtown's most glamorous and colossal nightspot led a previous life as an 1890s Victorian playhouse, and many of the beautiful Art Nouveau trimmings are still in place. The Ruby Skye is a great place to have fun, but have thugs-one in particular at the door. I attended a private conference party with passes only for entrance. It was raining and I stayed with a friend under the marquis to stay out of the rain. The thug wanted us to get in line in the rain.
