The service is very nice and friendly and the vegetables are fresh. Hints: If you buy a French cheese (and any French product), it is mandatory in France to indicate the expiration date of the product (a consommer de preference avant) and not the "best sale date"... if you see a product which expiration date was yesterday DON'T EAT IT, if you see a product where the expiration date do not appear or was hidden or removed, DON'T EAT IT. They have a good selection of cow, goat, and sheep's milk cheeses and generally have baguettes available (though they're not necessarily French-style "croustillant" baguettes). There's also a good selection of foie gras. All in all, it's a bit pricey, but worth the trip for an occasional gourmet treat. Being at the end of Charles Street is both inconvenient as well as being close by- the walk to Savenors is pleasant and quaint, but walking past the other shops on Charles is just too tempting.
