Patient Care YP.com

I was a former patient of dr. David W. Brown and participated at his Community Clinical Research Clinic during my ten year association as his client. I highly respected him and counted his opinion as next to godliness however this all changed for me in May of 2005 when under his care I became toxic on lithium while being treated for bipolar disorder. As a result of a two year period when he failed to take required serum blood level samples for me while he prescribed lithium for my bipolar disorder, I now have chronic kidney disease (25%) loss. Local lawyers won't sue civilly because 25% isn't a big enough loss for their coffers, and the Texas Medical Board sided with him recently saying that perhaps something besides lithium caused my kidney loss. Although the Texas Medical Board failed to address my main point that Dr. David Brown failed to monitor my blood level of lithium which is the minimum standard of care for practicing Psychiatrists no matter how many large drug company pay rolls you happen to be on ,and how fancy your clinic is. Sincerely, Yolanda H.
