I have to depend on help from store employees. I needed a hose repair kit and some weather stripping. I wandered around the store near the garden department for about 10 minutes and could not locate a sales associate. I figured the hose repair kits would be near the hoses. Finally two sales people walking thru the garden department and asked one of them where the hose repair stuff was. “Isle 35” he rudely yelled. This jerk is probably having a worse day than I am so I moved on looking for isle 35. Found the isle but asked another pair of associates where the hose repair kits were. He said isle 20. I told him someone else just told me 35 and he replied with a smart alec insulting mocking answer. Now it was my turn to get rude. I left the store, not quietly, as fast as I could hobble out vowing never to return to Lowes. I do not shop for the amusement of store employees. You folks need to understand that customer service it the ONLY thing that makes your business stand out against hundreds of similar businesses, and it doesn’t cost you anything. It can make the difference between failure or success and it can even cover other shortcomings. Why do your employees work in pairs?
