One night room rates are between $130 USD and $180 USD. Perhaps the main reason that I like this place is because Hampton Inn revitalized the historic Cheaspeak Building, which was constructed in 1929 as headquarters for the Big Four Railroad, for this hotel. Many historic buildings in downtown Indy have fallen victim to the wrecking ball only to be turned into flat lots for parking. As a result, the city is starting to look like an old house with all the windows knocked out. But the downtown Hampton Inn is well done, close to everything (walking distance) and a great example of historic preservation done right. I only wish the rest of the city would follow their lead...
