The sandwiches are delicious. My favorite is the peppersteak. It has super flavorful, juicy meat with some provolone cheese and pickles. The bread itself is the best tasting sandwich bread of any of the delis or sandwich places in Burbank. The service is amazingly fast. If you go and there's a line out the door, stop anyway because you'll still get your sandwich faster than you would anywhere else. I don't know how they do it!! The quality of the food has never been anything other than excellent in the 20 plus years we've eaten there. The only thing I don't like about the place is the dirty customer bathroom. The italian cold cuts, pastrami, tuna etc... are one of the best values for lunch in the city @ $5 for a foot long sub and $.75 for a can soda. I guess that's why I had never visited Giamela's until recently -- I didn't know that I was driving by it on a weekly basis without a sign above the door! My long-time Burbank companion finally showed me the way and it was worth the trip.
