Great Way to Spend a Sunday Morning by Jerome H. at InsiderPages

Best organic soap in the world can be found here. Look for the Auntie Godmother's booth near Big Wangs.

I love spending my Sunday morning strolling among the fresh fruits and vegetables. I also like looking at the organic produce!

If you are a tourist and want to see a wide variety of what makes LA so unique you must plan a visit to this market. Try a tamale, eat some fresh fruits, listen to some music and buy some hand made soap to take back as souvenirs.

A day at the HFM is way cheaper than a trip through Ripley's on Hollywood and leaves no waxy after taste.

Favorite farmers market

This farmers market is AWESOME. It's gigantic, on Ivar from Sunset to Hollywood Blvd and on Selma for a block and a half, too. It is every Sunday from 8am to 1pm. Easiest parking is at the Arclight on Sunset (get 1 hour validation at the market).

There are almost 100 stands with fresh fruit and vegetables and dozens with prepared food, bread, handmade soap and so on.

Many of the stands are all organic. Most of our favorites are between Selma and Hollywood.

Fun place to shop by Peter O. at InsiderPages

The Farmers Market is a fun place to shop, and offers everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to candy and candles. There are also a variety of places to eat at, and the atmosphere is very busy and fun. There is a good chance you will spot a celebrity -- if not there, then perhaps at the Grove mall across the street.

PROS: Fun and variety
CONS: None

One of the best in town by Chris H. at InsiderPages

This is one of the best farmer's markets in town. They have plenty of vendors and seasonal produce. Parking can be a bit tricky, but if you get there early enough, you'll find plenty of free meter parking on the streets (since it is on Sundays). In addition to produce, they also have vendors selling cheese, fresh juice, bakery items, etc. The Korean food vendor is also excellent.

The Hollywood Farmers Market is historic in Los Angeles. Located at the Grove, they have fresh produce and cafes as well as stores with tourist items. A very good place to take tourists.

An L.A. Must by D. R. at InsiderPages

This permanent Farmers Market is a great place to spend a weekend morning or afternoon. Good restaruants (the crepe place is my favorite) and plenty of interesting shops. Tip: it's actually a nice place to bring out-of-towners and there's a pretty good chance of spotting a celeb.

Hollywood Farmers Market is the lively market I ever seem. I went up to Hollywood Farmers Market during a trip and drop by to see what all the commotions about. There I found people from all different Walt of live shopping for fruit, vegetable and other item. It reminds me of a Chinatown, but not quit as big. So drop by if you have the chance, and you wont be sorry.

Every Sunday -rain or shine you should find yourse...

Every Sunday -rain or shine you should find yourself amongst the plethora of peeps, vendors and fresh produce crowding the streets in Hollywood(between Selma and Ivar. They have everything...bakery, veggies, fresh fruits, kettle corn, hummus, flowers, prepared dishes, performers, a coffe bar ,SAMPLES(my personal fave) and tons of smiling faces. This one stop shop for fresh goodies makes Ralph's seem like a total joke and Whole Food's fprices seem outrageous. Its the best market I have been to in all my 23 yrs and I am a produce junkie.
