I called and asked what happens after hours, and supposedly the owner "stops by to check on the dogs occassionally". I will never again pay for my dog to sit by themselves over night when they could do that at home for free! Also, when going to pick my dog up from daycare, I saw another women leaving and her dog has bleeding! I stopped and asked what had happened and she said that her dog had got in a fight. Apparently that was not the first time that there had been a fight! Also, when I got my things back I noticed that none of the food that I had supplied had actually been given to my dog as instructed. So in general I paid money to have my dog around other dogs in a big stall/cage and I was lucky that a fight had not occurred. Also, they boast a "cageless society" but in reality, the dogs remain in a big cage together all day. Also I have seen the "outdoor" play area and it is nothing more that a 10 by 10 foot concrete area between the animal house and the next door mechanic shop! Not a speck of grass in sight. And when I looked through the fence at the outdoor play area there was an unmistakable smell of urine coming from behind the fence! Definately not worth the money or the risk of harm to your dog!!! http://www.yellowbot.com/animal-house-benbrook-tx.html I have been taking my dogs to the Animal House in Haltom City two or three times a month for about three years and have never had anything other than excellent experiences. I have two Cocker Spaniels that I could not love more if they were my biological human children. In the near future I am going on a cruise so I can't take the dogs. They will not stay with family or with my vet (who is a personal friend) but rather they will be boarded at Animal House -- one reason and one reason only. I do not think there is any other place, at any price, where they will receive the same level of attention, care and protection. Based upon almost three years of wonderful experiences with Animal House, I am convinced that no one else, family or friend, will have the time or motivation to treat my girls like princesses for over a week. I am 100 percent confident they will be properly fed and watered, medicated as needed, played with, cared for, loved, and protected. The people are great! True animal lovers to the core! My dog stays with them often and loves the freedom of the cagless suites and beds. He is able to play with other dogs in a safe and closely monitered atmosphere. I can always count on them to administer his daily med's and making sure he has plenty of attention and affection. My dog often leaves the Day care with a treat or toy! He was elderly and sick and we did not want him to be left alone while we were away. The facility is extra nice and the staff is wonderful!! They took extra special care of our little guy and put our minds at ease during this time! He really seemed to enjoy his time there and it gave us peace of mind!
