I previously went to a well-regarded dental office in south county, and the worst experience. Two different people recommended I check out Smileworks Dental, and I'm so glad I did. The office is so friendly and helpful; they are all very competent. Dr. Patel-Mehta is nice and gentle. I especially like the flat screen tv's they have at each chair. (I found myself laughing while getting cavities filled!) Even though a dental cleaning was covered by my dental insurance, they sent my family to collection when they did not receive reimbursement. They did not notify us properly that we had a balance. Months later, news reached us of their foul up, but they had already sent us to collection, I called the insurance company...and guess what???? A... had billed it improperly. I immediately fixed it, and they got paid. This office was negligent in sending us to a collection agency!!!!!!!
