Raley's has been good to me by sherrie k. at InsiderPages

The people who work there are wonderful and stop to ask if you need help. The pharmacy department with Don and Lee are fabulous and go out of their way to make it into a good experience as well. The cashier's may be chatty to some people, however seem friendly to others and we like it! Parking is a problem no matter where you go in Fremont and will be as long as it continues to be a nice place to live, so I adapt and be happy that I live here. I have found it much worse in San Francisco and also is expensive, as well. Raley's is great and the employees help make it a great place to shop!

Chatty Cashiers

Raleys is great for their products and food. Their parking lot is a headache almost all of the time (except 6am-9am on weekends), but then again where in Fremont are parking lots not overcrowded?

The biggest problem I have with Raleys is their chatty cashiers. Raleys is the only supermarket I've seen where cashiers are told to chat with the customers. It's so FAKE! And they don't realize it's annoying to customers, well to me at least. I want my quiet reverie. The world is noisy enough, I count on the little quiet I have left! If I need cash or stamps, I'll open my mouth and ask for it, thank you very much.

Oh, not to mention their carts...so retarded. Be forewarned if you go past the yellow line your heavy cart load will stop abruptly in the middle of nowhere, and you'll be forced to hand carry that 24 water bottle carton to your car. It's okay if you are Arnold, but if you are a little lady like me, you are in trouble.

Okay one more thing, there are no conveyor belt to set your groceries on the counter...very backwards if you ask me.

But hey if none of these things, bother you then go for Raleys. Otherwise there are many other pluses with shopping here. I just wish they work on the annoying things.

Great Bakery! by Blah c. at InsiderPages

Raley's bakery sells everything from fresh donuts, cookies, cakes, and bread. Their baked goods can be purchased in value packs or individually. Prices are great for the amount of food you get in the value packs. Cakes can also be made to order for special occassions.

PROS: tasty, good prices
CONS: fattening ;)
