PLEASE stay away from this dealer !!!!!!!!!!

MOST OF THE SALESMEN HERE ARE LIARS. TRIED TO CHANGE THE CONTRACT AFTER I SIGNED IT SAYING THAT IT WAS NOT APPROVED TO GET ANOTHER LOAN AT A HIGHER PRICE.WHEN I DID NOT AGREE AND WANT TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT THEY SAID I CANT COZ I ALREADY DROVE THE CAR OUT. TOOK OUT ALARM AND BLUETOOTH COZ THEY SAID ITS NOT INCLUDED WHEN I DID NOT GIVE IN TO THEIR DEMANDS. SALESMEN ARE RUDE AND THEY WILL TRY TO HOLD ON TO YOUR LICENSE SO THAT THEY CAN KEEP YOU IN THE DEALERSHIP.

VERY high pressure sales tactics by Bill P. at InsiderPages

Buyer beware -- at Colonial, you will be bombarded with extremely high pressure sales tactics, and they will pressure you to buy a car at MUCH higher prices than you can get elsewhere. You do not want to mess around with these salesmen--they are very good at what they do, and they can be highly successful in getting you to sign for an absurdly inflated price.

My personal advice is that it simply doesn't make economic sense to haggle at a dealership. You get both the pain of high pressure tactics AND a lousy price, even after haggling for two hours.

Based on my experience, the best way to buy a car is to find out the invoice price on a site like edmunds.com or some other, and then strictly negotiate BY PHONE to all the dealers in your area, talking ONLY with their internet sales staff, NOT the regular sales staff.

It's pretty quick, it's quite easy, you do it from home, and there's no pressure, because they know you're calling all their competitors. You will get prices that are miles below anything you can negotiate in person at one dealership, where they hold you captive.

THE WORST, WORST, WORST!!!!!!

PLEASE DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THESE RETARDS. THEY MAKE PROMISES WHEN THEY ARE SELLING AND FORGET YOUR NAME WHEN YOU LEAVE THE SHOWROOM. I DESERVE THE IDIOT OF THE YEAR AWARD, I PURCHASED 2 CARS FROM HERE. AFTER THEY BOTCHED SOOOO MANY THINGS WITH THE FIRST, I SOMEHOW BELIEVED THAT THEY WOULD CARE ABOUT ME AND KEEP THEIR PROMISES ON THE SECOND. WELL, THEY DIDN'T. THEY PROMISED ME AN AFTERMARKET UPGRADE THAT I NEVER RECEIVED AND REGISTERED MY TRADE-IN....NOT THE CAR I PURCHASED!!!THEY DON'T RETURN CALLS, GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND AND STINK IN GENERAL. THE SHOWROOM IS GROSS TOO. HONDAS ARE GREAT, JUST DON'T GET YOURS HERE.

worst experience period at a dealership

Well my wife and I live in Glendale and we thought it would be nice to buy from a local dealer so close. But what started off as a being a good experience turned into a bloody nightmare once we sat down and started talking about financing.

My wife and I both have excellent credit ratings (750 each), and at other non-honda dealers have been approved over and over for under 3% APR for 60 months for ranges between $10,000 and $15,000 in credit. I have no idea what rate these salesmen were giving us because they would not tell us even when we asked them, and when they first came back with a payment of $485/month for 48 months with 4 thousand down I was so shocked I could not even add up that the total price they were trying to charge was almost 30 thousand for the AT base model with absolutely no extras.

We spent another hour and a half in there "negotiating". The best "deal" they would give us was $250/month for 72 months with a 6000 dollar down payment. Three other finance people talked to us trying to pressure us into buying it, all telling us that the minimum Honda (not their dealership, but HONDA) would finance was $15,000. The last guy also called us cheapskates because we still wanted a lower monthly payment and he told us that we just needed to learn how to budget better.

Words cannot express how demoralizing that experience was and how shameless and crooked the salesmen are at that dealership. It was such a bad experience that it has made my wife and I really wonder if we even want a Honda anymore.

Stay away from them...

I went to colonial honda to buy an accord and I did my homework before I went there. I gave the sales person the quote I got and the sales person brought internet manager. He said he could match the price I showed and I told him about 2.9% financing Honda is advertising. He gave me the amount of monthly payment and it was way too higher than I expected. I have around 800 credit score. They gave me 8.8% financing. They said I can not get 2.9% as I am getting a good price. What a joke. I walked out. I went to Miller Honda and made a deal. Good price plus 2.9% financing. I will never go to colonial honda

I wish I could give it negative stars

I was looking to buy a Honda Accord today. I bought a Honda Pilot from Colonial before, and I was expecting the same level of service. But today's experience was nothing like the one I had before.

I walked in and saw a receptionist chatting away on her cell phone. No sales rep paid us any attention, so I took a look at the showroom models before I asked the receptionist for a sales rep. She made a call and said someone would be with me right away. I waited for about 15 minutes, but no one came. So I asked the receptionist again and she made another call. She said that the manager would bring a sales rep to me right away. I waited for another 15 minutes, and nobody ever bothered to help us. I got fed up and left for another Honda dealership.

It's too bad because I really liked the experience I had buying a car from there a few years ago. Now, I guess their customer service has gone down the hole. I had a pleasant experience at a different dealership and decided to buy the Accord from them.

Colonial Honda, just say no.

Street parking, cramped salesroom floor and a building that must be at least 60 years old. Dirty and grungy with sales that aren't competetive at all. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else.

I've had my vehicle serviced here, but had to take it to Honda of Pasadena for a quick no charge warranty repair which they wanted me to pay and misdiagnosed.

I've read the reviews from the web, and I can say they are valid complaints about this business.

I went to the parts department to buy accessories, and oh my! A kid on the computer and nothing to buy at all. A stinky bathroom 2 feet away and very inattentive sales people here.

Colonial Honda -- Botched job three times in a row! by A B. at InsiderPages

I took my Honda Civic into this shop for routine checkup and came away with the car in the worst shape it's every been in. After three visits (with increasingly ridiculous explanations) I went to a Firestone and they figured it out right away - Colonial Honda ground the rotors below spec, which caused them to warp, which caused the noise. Why didn't Colonial Honda fix the problem on any of those three visits? Only they know. I'm pursuing the matter through the legal system now and hope Honda Corporation's investigation will get to the bottom of the problems there.

PROS: None. I've taken my complaints to Honda of America.
CONS: A huge hassle.

Repair shop - a little too pushy by Jethro N. at InsiderPages

I took my 1995 Honda Accord in for an oil leak and was initially very impressed with Colonial Honda. There was a line of cars out the door waiting for service. They have a slick, well run operation. Unfortunately, when it came to diagnosing the problem, I felt that they kept trying to oversell me on a bunch of procedures that I didn't need (to the tune of $1500). After paying their pricey diagnostic fee, I took the car to another mechanic and got the problem fixed for under $300 bucks.

PROS:
CONS: repair shop - oversells its services

Honda has world class cars and this was a world class dealer. Excellent options, friendly staff - no slimeballs - this is definately a good dealer to stop by when you are in the market for a car. Glendale has a LOT of car dealers, but go here instead of the brand blvd of cars

Good service by MISS D. at InsiderPages

This was the best experience ever. I purchased my first car here and the employees there were so helpful. They didn't pressure me at all and provided me with so much information regarding their vehicles. They let you test drive any of their vehicles. I visited several car dealers and this was by far the best.
