No one should have to pay to see a few art works in this small museum. i was in and out within an hour. So goes the story at the Museum of contemporary Art, or MOCA as its come to be known among youthful Urbanites of the Suburbs of LA. Certainly, being an art-inspired individual whose work relies on never before seen creativity, coming here was an obligation. However, if you have a choice, don't even bother approaching MOCA. ON OCASSION there are some exhibits that one may find marginally interesting, such as the Andy Warhol through the Ages exhibit featured here a few years back. There are always interesting art pieces and exhibits that are out of the world. This is one place that probably shouldn't be missed if you're into more contemporary types of arts. The quality of the exhibitions has varied greatly over the years but the space is quite large and has nice gallery spaces for displaying the work. There is a nice gift shop with a lot of hard to find books and periodicals and a nice outdoor courtyard with a fountain. It is nice to spend some time in the courtyard especially when they offer free live music in the summer on designated days.
