Do Not Stay Here

I stayed at this hotel in july and had several items taken from my room while I was out. The hotel staff was not helpful about the situation and they handled it very poorly. Other than that the rooms were overpriced and the building is quite unattractive.

Pros
+ clean room

Cons
- , overpriced

Clean and comfortable

My husband and I visited Memphis to run in the St. Jude Half Marathon, and upon seeing the outside of the hotel, I was a little skeptical. We were on the 15th floor and our only view was the building next door, but overall, the room was awesome!!! It was very spacious with a king sized bed, a couple of...

decent hotel with great employees

My husband & I stayed here overnight on a business trip. I read reviews before making my reservation and I was not disappointed. What struck us the most was how friendly and helpful every employee was! The hotel itself is clean and the beds are quite comfortable. Our room was on the 14th floor with a nice view of the...

Windowless Room with no View... who knew

After leaving the hotel, we saw they had charged our credit card for parking and a safe charge. No one told us that the parking wasn't free. Of course, we would have had to pay it, but it would have been nice to know. We never used the safe in our room, but that charge was on the card too....

My teenage daughter and I enjoyed the hotel very much. The breakfast was wonderful and everyone(front desk, housekeeping, etc.) was so polite. We had a wonderful view of the bridge which was lit at night. We went to Graceland (twice! ) and the Civil Rights Museum. There was so much to do. We stayed for three nights and didn't want...

Awesome stay

Labor Day weekend found last minute hotel. We had 15th floor river view room. Huge!! with frig/microwave/coffee. Outdoor pool was refreshing after muggy day of walking. Free Breakfast is more like a brunch (fresh fruit, yogurt/waffles/egg wrap/toast, etc.) Staff was amazing; quick check-in/out. Easy location off freeway. Parking was $6. Trolley around the corner by the fountain $1 person (kids...

My husban and I stayed at the Comfort Inn for our 5th anniversary and the service was spectacular. All of the staff was very friendly and accomodated our every need. The rooms were very clean and, for the price, one of the biggest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. The breakfast was very good and had everything from waffles,...

Right in Downtown, but needs some updating

Rooms were a bit dated, but they were large. Free breakfast was available, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a security guard on duty at this hotel. Parking is available on site, but it is not free. This hotel is right in downtown and you can walk to almost anywhere. Besides needing a bit of...

SERVICE WITH LOTS OF SMILES! This small hotel delivers with BIG Rooms

This hotel is filled with Customer Service! It is staffed with veteran hoteliers who still greet you with smiles and will go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible. The General Manager's desk is in the Lobby, between the front door and the front desk! I have seen him pour coffee for new arrivals, run to...

Am I in the 1980s

I was given this hotel by the travel office at work. The hotel is in a decent location, downtown, accessible to the trolley, and close to the airport. On the downsize, this place needs a MAJOR renovation. I attended a conference at the Peabody Hotels, about 7 blocks from the Comfort Inn Downtown, so it was not as convenient as...

Excellent Memphis hotel

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights in June and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious, we even had a view of the Mississippi river! Beds were really comfortable with tea/coffee in the room. The staff were really helpful and friendly, they let us into our room by 10am (we arrived very early in the morning). The...

Good but in need of renovations

Positives: nice bed, quiet, great location, cheap parking, and very friendly staff! Also, a good breakfast. Negatives: overpriced for what we got (our most expensive night of our two week road trip, more than Chicago, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas even!), and in desperate need of a renovation. Would stay again but would definitely try to find a cheaper place...

This motel was a really nice place to stay - we'd highly recommend it! Our room was very clean & had everything we needed - plenty of room & very comfortable. I made reservations with the Choice Hotels' 800 number & got the best price I had found on line or anywhere else - $111 a night. We traveled with...

Good Place To Stay In Memphis

The Comfort Inn is certainly comfortable. The room was big, plenty of space for the three of us. Nice amenities, good view out over the big river, nice swimming pool area. About six blocks from the action on Beale Street, but the nearby trolley gets you there easily. We felt safe walking in the area. The continental breakfast was good....

This was the best hotel ever

I never do reviews for places I've stayed but I must do it for this hotel. Before I planned my trip i read reviews for all hotels in the vicinity of Beale street and this hotel reviewed the best. I see why it did because everything was magnificent. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a Riverview...

Off the beaten path, but easy walk to Beale Street

We stop in Memphis on our way from Ohio to Arizona and back. We've stayed at the Westin downtown before, but it is right behind Beale Street and we've had bad experiences being awakened by crazy drunks during the night. Hey, we party too, but don't come back to the room whooping and hollering at 4:30 a.m.! Decided to stay...

Comfort by the River at the Comfort Inn

The Comfort Inn Downtown is not in the Beale Street area, but quite honestly a little of the Beale street goes a long way..... To have the opportunity to get away from the obviously touristy and fun area is a nice change of pace and the Comfort Inn Downtown certainly offers that change of pace. It is located across from...
