Of course the flowers were dead by the time I got home. (What ever happened to either leaving the delivery with a neighbor or leaving a note so that I could schedule delivery?) The Garden of Eden Florist would not replace the dead flowers. They claimed the flowers weren't dead when they left them on my front porch (in direct sunlight) and said they 'knew they couldn't make me happy.' (Not true - all I wanted was flowers that weren't dead.) So thanks to their bad business decisions (such as leaving out flowers in the hot sun, having TERRIBLE customer service, etc.) I got a bouquet of dead flowers for my birthday.
