The food is great and reasonably priced. Vegans and dieters beware! The fries are worth killing for when they scoop some cheese and chili on top. (The primary concession to healthy eating is "protien style", which means without a bun!) Carneys has free parking behind so you never have to worry about that. Special orders are de rigeur: onions, no pickle, add cheese, pickle on the side, etc. Awesome hot dogs in several varieties satisfy nearly all palates. Any food I eat while making "yummy happy kitty" noises rates pretty high on any list, and this place is a weekly mmmmmmmmmyumgmmymmm! Plus, you can watch the world go by, wave at curious tourists in their buses, eavesdrop on interesting conversations, and trade amazed stares with some pretty cute kids! I wanted to support Carney's because EVERYONE seems to patronize Pink's on LaBrea, but as a result, I won't be visiting either again.
