Shameful

I am ashamed to have worked for this Royal India restaurant.

I was working for Sam and Jag at Royal India and these bad owners forced me and other waiters to make false reviews about Royal India and wrong reviews about other Indian restaurants from Mira Mesa to downtown.

I would expect things like this cheating to happen in my home country but in the US of A.

I need to let everyone know. I am feeling very very bad for what the owners made me do.

We didnt have true Indian chefs and most of the time the dishwasher was the one cooking.

This is why we have so many false reviews.

All awards we got are by cheating.

After reading few good reviews I decided to go to Royal India with my wife on our anniversary and made reservation. Beautiful hostess sat us inside on a nice table. Server almost arrived immediately and brought champagne on the house. We ordered Vegetable samosa and it was crispy and flavorful with mint chutney. We had Chicken garlic kabab which was served on a sizzler and lamb coconut curry with Nan bread.
It was absolutely fantastic and full of flavor.
The ambiance is very romantic and relaxing.
Must try Royal India in gaslamp.

I really shouldn't list any "cons" about this fine restaurant. Sam and Jag have four locations around San Diego and the food is top notch. I wanted the best Indian food for my wedding because my husband's parents are from India and we picked Royal India in down town because we have tried many Indian restaurants and we found Royal India to be the best amongst the lot. Nice atmosphere. Food quality was just okay. I've tasted better at tanzore in beverly hills. Bengan bartha was not very good.
