Georgette Farkas, Daniel Boulud’s former PR czar, strikes out on her own at this instant hit opposite Barney’s where the rustic French offerings are prepared on a rotisserie in an open kitchen. The classy, salonlike setting is a magnet for sophisticated UES types, and the dish to order is the roast chicken for two, accompanied by seared foie gras and wild rice stuffing.

There is a real Georgette (the owner, Georgette Farkas) and a real rotisserie. In fact there are two rotisseries, loaded up with pudgy chickens, small flocks of stuffed quail, and dorade locked in a cage with lemon wheels and thyme branches.
